The Quality of Gratitude

It’s the 21st century, and we are all rushing and running around, chasing success, wealth and dreams. But do we care to stop for a moment and think – how far have we come? what have we achieved? what do we already have that we should NOT take for granted?

Are you grateful for what you’ve got?

Remember, what you’ve got is not in your bank account. It’s in your heart, it’s in your smile, it’s how you carry yourself around the struggles of life. It’s your family, your children, your partner. It’s your dreams and aspirations, your role models, your favourite sports team. They are always there with you. You’ll Never Walk Alone!

What are you grateful for today?

We tend to take everything around us for granted but we really shouldn’t. Our freedom to live where we want and how we want, the food we have on the table, the clean air we breathe, blue skies, sunny days, beautiful beaches. Keep reminding yourself, especially on bad days, that you shouldn’t complain. So many people around the world don’t have the basic things we don’t even think about because they are so obvious to us.

Gratitude is the Attitude!

Today you should look around you and see the positives, focus on the good stuff and accept the not-so-good stuff because it just ain’t going to be perfect. The happiest people I know are those who appreciate the little things. Interestingly, those people live modestly, surrounded by family and friends. Be the happiest, not the grumpiest. The little things are not so little…

Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

I don’t want to give it
Why you want to give it
Why you want to give it all away?
